  • NEIGHBORHOOD BENIFIT HONORING DAVID WILLIAMS
    PLEASE ATTEND A NEIGHBORHOOD
    BENEFIT HONORING DAVID WILLIAMS

    Saturday, MARCH 10th, 2007

    Time: 3:00-6:00pm

    POTLUCK DINNER
(Please bring your own lawn chair)
    Kensington Neighborhood Park

There will be a bounce house, entertainment and a silent auction. All donations will be given to the Williams Family. This is a great opportunity for our neighborhood to pull together and show our support for a fellow Kensington Estate resident.

David was critically injured in a car accident on 02-14-2007. It is unknown at this time the extent of the damage and the length of the rehabilitation process. The family is taking one day at a time but it will be a very long road for them. Financial assistance would be a great help as David was the primary bread winner for the family. You will be blessed for helping a family in need.

If you have any items you would like to donate for the silent auction, please contact:

  • M.E.N.D. Fundraiser
Written and Submitted by our Neighbors J. and Shannon Konkle:

After our son, John Robert passed away on August 11, 2006 Thirteen hours after his birth, J. and I joined a group called M.E.N.D. M.E.N.D. (Mommies Enduring Neonatal Death) is a non-profit organization that reaches out to families who have suffered the loss of a baby through miscarriage, stillbirth, or early infant death. M.E.N.D. publishes free bi-monthly newsletters, holds two commemorative ceremonies each year, and hosts a variety of support groups in the Dallas – Fort Worth Metroplex. M.E.N.D. also has chapters in NW Arkansas, Kansas, Houston, Texarkana and Georgia.

M.E.N.D. is currently selling Macy’s coupons as part of Macy’s “Shop for a Cause” Fundraiser. The coupons are $5 and M.E.N.D. receives 100% of the proceeds. The coupons are good on Saturday, March 17 only. You receive a one-time coupon for $10 off a $20 purchase, an all-day shopping pass for 15-20% off depending on the item and a change to win a $500 shopping spree. So it’s a pretty good deal if you have shopping to do.

Anyone that is interested can contact us via e-mail at: konkles@charter.net or phone at 940-497-0688

    Thanks for your support.
    J. and Shannon Konkle
